About ASTHA

Our Story,
Our Purpose

A 25-year legacy of compassionate action across West Bengal, working with communities to build healthier, stronger and more sustainable futures.

Our Mission

To provide equitable access to Primary Health Care, Nutrition, WASH, and Sustainable Livelihoods to the most vulnerable communities in West Bengal through community-led interventions and partnerships.

Our Vision

A just and equitable society where every individual, regardless of geography or circumstance, has access to health, dignity, and sustainable livelihoods.

Our Story

Founded in 2001, ASTHA began as a small community initiative with a big dream — to create healthier and safer communities in rural West Bengal. Over the years, it has grown into a trusted organisation, working alongside local communities, government bodies and partners to bring lasting change in health, education, livelihoods and environmental resilience.
